eProsima is pleased to announce the latest release of Fast DDS v2.9.0. This release includes several new features, such as new log macros and a new CMake option, together with performance enhancements, continuous integration improvements, and bug fixes.

NEW FEATURES ADDED  

These are some of the new features included in the Fast DDS 2.9.0 version:

  • New log macros to avoid clashes with other external log macros 

  • New CMake options to disable old log macros which reduces memory usage

 

IMPROVEMENTS

Many improvements have been made:

  • Reduced performance overhead by only calculating/accumulating statistics metrics when their corresponding DataWriter is enabled in Fast DDS Statistics Module. Now Fast DDS Statistics module is enabled by default, making recollecting DDS performance data easier than ever.

  • More flexibility at memory management level by using default PREALLOCATED_WITH_REALLOC_MEMORY_MODE 

  • Fast DDS and Discovery Server new jobs to improve continuous integrations
